Microsoft 365 for Enterprise
In a large company, Microsoft 365 is where thousands of people work, and the E5 license already brings, built in, an enterprise-grade security platform. Having that platform is one thing; operating it in full, at scale, is another.
Zamak chooses the right plan by profile (office, frontline, privileged access), turns on and operates the E5 security platform in co-management with your team and fills what Microsoft 365 does not do. You get E5 the way it was built to work, alongside your team.
This product has no valid combination.
Microsoft 365 for Enterprise · E3, E5, E7 and Frontline
Your company already pays, in E5, for an enterprise-grade security platform. The question is not whether you have it: it is how much of it is actually turned on, and whether you could prove it right now.
In an environment of thousands of users, the gap between what the E5 license enables and what is actually turned on is not a technical detail: it is the attack surface of the whole company. E5 brings, built in, a real security platform (threat detection and response, privileged access control, data protection and governance), but it costs the same whether it is 10% or 90% in operation, and almost every company uses a part of it, with the false sense that having E5 means being protected. Add the frontline worker paying for a director's plan, and the scale bill shows up on both sides: waste and exposure. Microsoft 365 managed by Zamak puts each profile on the right plan, turns on and operates the E5 security platform in co-management with your team, and fills what Microsoft 365 does not do.
The stolen credential is the number 1 way in, with cloud accounts among the favorite targets; in a large company, that is thousands of doors, and E5 brings the advanced lock that almost never comes turned on. (Verizon DBIR 2025)
The E5 advanced security (detection and response, privileged access, data protection) ships in the license and stays turned off until someone sets it up and operates it; E5 bought and not operated is an entire security platform sitting in the box. (Microsoft)
A good share of licensed cloud and software capacity sits idle, mis-sized or assigned to the wrong person, and at scale that becomes money frozen every month. (Flexera State of the Cloud 2025)
If you open your company's Microsoft 365 admin center right now, could you say how much of E5 is actually turned on, and how many frontline workers are paying for an office plan?
The real problem
Having E5 is easy. Operating it in full, at scale, alongside an already stretched internal team, is what almost no one does
Microsoft 365 Enterprise rarely disappoints for lack of features: E5 is one of the most complete security suites on the market. It disappoints when no one turned on what it brings, sized each profile and filled what is missing. Here is where Microsoft 365 on autopilot charges the bill, almost always at the worst moment and multiplied by scale:
The security platform bought and never turned on
The company moved to E5 thinking that, with the most complete plan, it was secure. And E5 does bring an entire platform: threat detection and response, controlled privileged access, data protection. But all of it ships in the license and stays off until someone sets it up, tunes it and maintains it, every day. The result is E5 used as if it were E3: you pay for the advanced security suite and operate the basic one. The most expensive license becomes a policy that was never signed, multiplied by thousands of users.
The frontline worker on a director's plan
Half the company is not at a desk: they are the people at the counter, on the factory floor, in the store, in the field, on shift. They need access, communication and the right tools on a phone, not a full workstation. When everyone gets the same office plan, you overpay for those who would use a frontline plan at a fraction of the price; when no one gets a license, those people work on shared, improvised accounts that no one controls. Either way, scale turns the wrong choice into a lot of money and a lot of risk.
The admin access that never expires
At scale, the account is the door, and the admin account is the master key. It is common to find dozens of accounts with permanent administrator powers, many held by people who no longer need them, and no rule blocking odd sign-ins. E5 brings exactly the lock for this: privileged access granted only when needed and expiring on its own, plus automatic blocking of risky sign-ins. But it ships turned off. Without operating it, one leaked admin credential is enough for someone to walk through the whole company as the owner.
The audit the license would already solve
The request from the large client, the regulator or the insurer arrives: prove that sensitive data is controlled, that you can recover messages in an investigation, that you know who accessed what. The tools for this already ship in E5, in the data governance layer: leak prevention, retention, message discovery for investigations, insider risk management. But they were left off. So the company scrambles to answer by hand, with a spreadsheet and screenshots, what the license already delivered ready, and sometimes finds it cannot prove what it needed.
The artificial intelligence that came in the back door
Copilot and artificial intelligence agents come in to help write, summarize and decide, and to do so they reach the company's email, files and systems. At scale, turning this on without governance opens a new door in thousands of mailboxes at once: the AI starts seeing and moving data it perhaps should not, and no one has defined what it can access or who it answers to. The productivity gain is real, but left loose it becomes the next path to a leak, this time driven by the company itself.
None of this is Microsoft 365's fault, nor the internal team's, which is already too busy to operate a platform this size on its own. It is the lack of someone dedicated to three things, at scale: sizing each profile, operating the E5 security platform and governing what the license enables. That is exactly what Microsoft 365 managed by Zamak puts in place, alongside your team.
What it is
Enterprise Microsoft 365 sized, turned on and operated in co-management
Managed Enterprise Microsoft 365 is the service in which Zamak sizes, turns on and operates a large company's Microsoft 365, alongside the internal team. The Microsoft 365 Enterprise line has no user cap and runs from E3 (full productivity) to E5 (the advanced security platform) and E7 Frontier (with artificial intelligence), plus the frontline plans F1 and F3 for those who are not at a desk. Zamak works on three fronts: it puts each profile on the right plan; it turns on and operates the E5 security platform in co-management with your team; and it fills what Microsoft 365 does not do. Because Zamak is a Microsoft Solutions Partner and resells the licenses, you have a single point of contact for the licenses and the operation. Command of the environment stays with your team; Zamak is the support layer that takes on the endless work.
The right plan by user profile
Zamak starts from how each group in your company works, not from a single license for everyone: the office worker (E3 or E5, depending on the risk of the data they touch), the frontline worker (F1 or F3, a fraction of the price), privileged access (E5 plus operation). You stop paying a director's plan for someone using a phone at the counter, and stop leaving unprotected those who handle sensitive data. And because the licenses come through Zamak, it is one contract and one point of contact.
The E5 security platform, turned on and operated in co-management
Buying E5 is half the road; the other half is turning on the platform it brings and keeping it working, alongside your team. Zamak operates threat detection and response in a single pane, controls privileged access (admin power only when needed, expiring on its own), blocks risky sign-ins, turns on data protection and tracks the environment's security score, fixing what it flags. Not in place of your team, but with it: Zamak takes on the endless part, your team keeps command.
Governance, compliance and artificial intelligence under control
E5 enables far more than access security: the data governance layer (leak prevention, retention, message discovery for investigations, insider risk management) and the arrival of artificial intelligence (Copilot and agents). Zamak turns on and operates this layer so you answer audits, clients and regulators with proof, not with hope, and enables AI with governance, so it helps without becoming a new door for leaks. And it fills what Microsoft 365 does not do on its own, such as long-term backup.

What is included
The right licenses by profile, provisioned, and Zamak's operation that turns on the E5 platform and keeps it running
Two deliveries in one service: the right Microsoft 365 licenses by user profile, chosen and provisioned with one point of contact, and Zamak's continuous operation that turns on the E5 security platform, governs what the license enables and fills what is missing, all in co-management with your team.
The right licenses by profile, provisioned
Each user group on the right Microsoft 365 plan, licensed and set up with a single contact.
- Sizing by profile: office (E3 or E5), frontline (F1 or F3) and privileged access.
- Licensing through Zamak (via a distributor), with a single contract and a single point of contact.
- Provisioning and migration of email, files and identities at scale, without stopping the operation.
- Periodic license review to remove plans from those who left and adjust those who changed roles.
- Support for team adoption, so each plan is used in full, not just the email.
Zamak's continuous operation, in co-management
Who turns on and operates the E5 security platform, governs the data and the AI and fills what is missing, alongside your team.
- Threat detection and response (Defender) operated in a single pane, across endpoint, email and identity.
- Privileged access control: admin power only when needed, expiring on its own, and blocking of risky sign-ins.
- Data governance operated: leak prevention, retention and discovery for investigations (Purview).
- Governance of artificial intelligence (Copilot and agents), so the AI helps without exposing company data.
- Independent long-term backup of the Microsoft 365 data, because the license is not backup.
Tech specs
What Zamak sizes, turns on and operates, under the hood
For those who want to look under the hood: the Enterprise plan structure and the layers Zamak turns on and maintains so Microsoft 365 is sized, turned on and complete. Each one is an official Microsoft capability, applied with method by a Microsoft Solutions Partner, in co-management with your team.
The Enterprise line: two tracks and the AI top
The Enterprise line has no user cap and serves two profiles. For the office worker: E3 (full productivity with entry-level security) and E5 (everything in E3 plus the advanced security platform and data governance). Above, E7 Frontier adds artificial intelligence (Copilot and Agent 365) to E5. For the frontline worker: F3 (Office in the browser and on the phone, its own mailbox and Teams, at a fraction of the price) and F1 (an essential, read-only version for those who only need identity and communication). Zamak chooses the right fit per group.
Threat detection and response (Defender XDR)
The heart of E5 security: a single pane that brings together the signals from endpoint, email, identity and cloud apps, correlates them and shows the whole attack, not loose pieces. It is, in practice, a security operations center inside the license. Zamak operates that center in co-management, tunes the policies, investigates the alerts that matter and responds, with the same discipline it applies in managed cybersecurity, alongside your team.
Privileged identity at scale (Entra ID Plan 2)
In a large company, the biggest identity risk is spare admin access. Entra ID Plan 2, included in E5, solves this: privileged access granted only when needed and expiring on its own, periodic reviews of who holds too much power, and automatic blocking of sign-ins that look risky. Zamak turns on and operates this layer and reviews the accesses, so a leaked admin credential does not become the key to the whole company. It connects directly to identity and password management, when you want the full vault.
Data protection and governance (Purview)
The E5 layer that audits love and that is almost never on: leak prevention (blocks the improper sending of data, such as a card number or a confidential document), labels that mark what is confidential, retention of what cannot disappear, discovery of messages and files for an investigation, and insider risk management. Zamak turns on and operates this layer so you answer clients, regulators and insurers with proof. It helps meet requirements like the GDPR and ISO 27001, although no tool, on its own, guarantees compliance.
Frontline: the right plan for those not at a desk (F1 and F3)
There are two frontline plans, and the choice between them is what Zamak sizes. F3 delivers Office in the browser and on the phone, its own mailbox, Teams and device management, for those who need to produce and communicate on the move; F1 is the essential, read-only version for those who only need identity and access to information. Neither requires a full workstation, and both cost a fraction of an office plan. Separating who is frontline from who is office tends to free up budget without leaving anyone without what they need.
What Microsoft 365 does not do (and Zamak fills)
Not everything ships in the license, even in E5. Microsoft 365 is not backup: deleted data stays available for a short window and then is gone, so Zamak includes an independent, long-term copy with recovery. Governance of artificial intelligence (Copilot and agents) must be designed, so the AI helps without taking data where it should not go. And adoption and support at scale make each plan used in full, rather than an expensive license sitting idle.
The licenses and the cloud are Microsoft's; Zamak, as a Microsoft Solutions Partner, sizes the plans, resells them through a distributor, turns on the security platform the license brings and operates the whole thing in co-management with your team. Billed per user, with a predictable value.
It is the difference between having E5 and using it the way it was built to work: each profile on the right plan, the security platform turned on and the gaps filled.

How to choose the plan
The Enterprise plans, side by side by capability
The Enterprise line runs from the frontline to the artificial intelligence top, with no user cap. See what each plan includes by capability, not by price, to spot where each profile in your company fits. It is the plan structure published by Microsoft; the E5 column is where the enterprise-grade security platform lives, and that is where Zamak's operation makes the most difference.

Add-ons that stack onto any plan
Capabilities that do not come in the base plan and Zamak enables and operates, with governance, when they make sense for your company.
Microsoft 365 Copilot
Microsoft's artificial intelligence assistant inside Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams. Zamak enables it with governance, so the AI helps without taking company data where it should not go.
Agent 365
Microsoft's platform to build and manage artificial intelligence agents that carry out tasks in the company. Zamak comes in with governance: who each agent is, what it can access and who it answers to.
Microsoft Teams Enterprise
The full Teams communication and collaboration (large meetings, events, advanced features) for plans sold without Teams included. Zamak sets up and operates the whole thing.
Each add-on comes by license, like the plans; Zamak sizes and operates the whole thing, with governance, alongside your team.
Plan structure as published by Microsoft (Microsoft 365 Enterprise line and frontline plans; no user cap). Features and limits may change; Zamak confirms what applies to your case. Zamak is not a plan: it is who sizes each profile, turns on the security platform and operates the whole thing in co-management.
From risk to impact
From Microsoft 365 on autopilot to business impact, at scale
The company is on E5 but operates like E3: the advanced security platform came in the license and stayed off.
You pay for the most expensive security suite and operate the basic one, with a false sense of protection, times thousands of users.
How managed Microsoft 365 responds
Zamak turns on and operates the E5 platform in co-management: detection and response, privileged access, data protection.
The frontline worker gets an office plan, or no plan and a shared account.
Money wasted on a plan that is too expensive, or hidden risk in accounts no one controls, multiplied by scale.
How managed Microsoft 365 responds
Zamak sizes by profile and puts each group on the right plan (F1/F3 for frontline, E3/E5 for the office).
An admin account with permanent power is breached with a leaked credential, with no second factor or control.
The company's master key in the wrong hands: the email, files and systems of thousands of people exposed at once.
How managed Microsoft 365 responds
Zamak turns on the E5 privileged access: admin power only when needed, that expires, and blocking of risky sign-ins.
The audit arrives (client, regulator or insurer) asking for proof of data control, and the E5 governance was off.
The company answers by hand what the license already delivered, and sometimes cannot prove what it needed, in front of whoever decides.
How managed Microsoft 365 responds
Zamak turns on and operates the E5 data governance (leak prevention, retention, discovery), to answer with proof.
In all these cases, what changes is not luck. It is having someone responsible for the company's Microsoft 365, at scale and alongside your team: each profile on the right plan, the security platform turned on and the gaps filled, before the problem arrives.
For every role
What changes for each role in your company
The same Microsoft 365, sized by profile and with the E5 security platform turned on, read through the eyes of whoever decides, owns the budget and compliance, and runs IT from the inside.
Owner and founder
Build it, protect it, grow its value.
The platform where the whole company works stops being a hidden risk, the expensive license no one operates in full and the data that can leak, and becomes a cared-for asset. You know the security platform you already pay for is turned on, that each profile is on the right plan and that the data has real backup. And when a buy-side due diligence or a cyber insurance questionnaire finds the security you already pay for switched off, it shows up in the price: less value on the table and a higher premium. With it in operation, the company presents itself as a protected asset, not a risk.
Manager and director
Cost you can predict. Security you can prove.
You swap the one-size license for plans sized by profile, without paying a director's plan for someone working at the counter. And when the audit, the client or the insurer asks whether access is controlled and data is protected, you answer with the E5 governance in operation, with proof, not with hope. Less waste on the spreadsheet, less weak point when closing a large contract.
IT lead and team
A secure extension of your team.
You stay in command of the environment, and stop being the one operating an E5-sized platform alone, at night. Zamak takes on the endless part in co-management (turning on and maintaining detection and response, privileged access, data governance, provisioning, migrating, documenting) alongside your team, and you get the backing of a Microsoft Solutions Partner behind you. You gain capacity to focus on what creates business value, without giving up control.
IT partner and provider
Offer managed Enterprise Microsoft 365 to your clients.
Bring your large clients Microsoft 365 sized by profile, with the E5 security platform turned on and operated, without having to build in-house the advanced security practice that Zamak already operates. You come in with a ready offer, preserve the client relationship and Zamak runs the back office at your side, in co-management. Request a proposal and we will design the partnership model with you.
Why Zamak
Why Zamak
Getting value from Enterprise Microsoft 365 takes more than buying E5: it takes sizing each profile, turning on the security platform the license brings and operating it every day, at scale, alongside an internal team that already has enough to do. That is where Zamak comes in, as a Microsoft Solutions Partner: it sizes and resells the plans, turns on and operates the detection and response, the privileged access and the data governance of E5, fills what is missing and monitors everything, with a single point of contact. Always in co-management, alongside your team, never in its place.
In the end, it is the difference between having an E5 license no one operates in full, with the advanced security turned off, and having Microsoft 365 sized by profile, with the security platform turned on, the data backed up and the artificial intelligence under governance, before any problem arrives.
